I’m a big fan of Richie Hawtin, but for all my years in the rave and club scene have not had the pleasure of seeing him play live. I recently came across this well done documentary about his life as a DJ, producer and promoter. For those of you that were into the electronic scene in the 80’s and 90’s, this movie will take you waaaaaay back with some of the interviews (Derek May, Kevin Saunderson, Jeff Mills, John Aquaviva). Well worth watching.
- The Style Butcher started out in 2012 as a street style and fashion blog. In 2015 most of the focus was on the current projects of my luxury workwear company Search & Rescue Denim Co. Now in 2016 I am turning the focus of this blog to a sort of entrepreneurial journal. I want to chronicle the next stages of building an international fashion brand and I think writing out my experiences will help me understand a bit more what I want out of this business, and this life.
