Taking it from the street

I’ve wanted to do a post on Banksy for a while. There is a lot of graffiti out there that is just vandalism, and then there is the street art that makes the world around us more interesting.  Most of Banksy’s work makes some sort of statement about the society he lives in, and some of his pieces are pretty god-damn adventurous – such as the pieces on the wall around the Gaza strip.  Some of his street “sculptures” are quite provocative  as well.  One of the things that I appreciate about Banksy is his view is that art is for everyone, and owned by no one – he openly suggest that people take art from his website, as long as they give credit where it is due.
